Typical applications could be:

  1. Initial testing out of system to confirm that the dialer dials the appropriate and proper telephone numbers and delivers the intended reply prompts. This will allow each called party to become familiar with the operation of the acknowledge and other features. This feature does not require input alarm trip wires to dial out.
  2. An emergency message could be placed on the scratch pad and activated by a knowledgeable individual on site to summon help in an emergency condition.
  3. The scratch pad message could contain additional information about existing conditions and could be forwarded to all of the called parties automatically.
  4. The scratch pad message could relay repair information on critical sites via dialing sequence and would not require the individual to make up to eight different phone calls.
  5. As a method of calling out and confirming that the station has no alarms at this time. This would constitute an optional restore feature that could be selected by the customer.

Depressing the red reset button will clear the fail safe light, however, this will not change the mode of operation. If the system is in the Main Menu mode, depressing the red reset button will not change the mode to Run. RESPONSES RECOGNIZED BY THE DD-4

When the DD-4 calls you and all messages have been delivered, the DD-4 will say "Please enter your ID code and response", allow 5 seconds, then enter one of the following options:

111 This response will cause the message to be repeated to the called party.

222 This response will allow the status of the system to be replayed to the called party; if no alarms are present then the DD-4 will say "There are no active alarms at this time".

333 This response is the first response required to access the MAIN MENU and is followed by entering the 4 digit access code. Works on call in or on DD-4 call out.

999 This response is the "ACKNOWLEDGE". This will place the system in a fail safe time period during which no additional alarm calls will be placed until the fail-safe time has expired.

When you call the DD-4 and it answers, it will say "Please enter your ID code and response", wait 5 seconds, then enter one of the following options. The DD-4 will say again "Please enter your ID code and response", then enter the 4 digit access code (2020).

666 This response is the first step in the "REMOTE SET ACKNOWLEDGE". The calling party will next enter the 4 digit access code and the system will automatically "ACKNOWLEDGE THE DD-4". This is equivalent to entering 999 when the DD-4 calls any party. Allows for remote acknowledge at any time.

777 This response followed by the 4 digit access code will automatically "CLEAR THE ACKNOWLEDGE AND RESET THE SYSTEM TO DEFAULT VALUES". This is equivalent to a "REMOTE RESET"
